This document establishes the pre-contractual information regarding the contracts signed at a distance on the web page www.artefita.pt/store, as referred in article 4 of Decree-Law nr. 24/2014 of the 14th February.
The domain www.artefita.pt/store is property of ARTEFITA, Artefita - Indústria de Passamanarias, Lda, with its head-office in Avenida das Escolas, 4540-315, Escariz, Portugal, and corporate entity nr. 503368350.
ARTEFITA reserves the right to modify this pre-contractual information in order to adapt it to the applicable law, without the need of any prior notice, with the exception of contracts already signed and still in execution. Artefita invites you to visite this page regularly to check for any changes that may have been occurred.
The navigation of the website www.artefita.pt/store, as well as the purchase of any product at this address, presupposes the acceptance of the present information and general conditions of use contained in this page.
ARTEFITA can withdraw, add or change products and services without prior notice, with the exception of contracts already signed and in execution.
Occasionally, ARTEFITA Online Store can be unavailable for upgrade or other reasons and we may restrict the access to some areas of the site.
ARTEFITA is not liable for any and all damages resulting from any computer viruses or any other situations to which it is unaware and that prevent the access and correct functioning of the domain www.artefita.pt/store.
For purchases through the ARTEFITA Online Shop, the buyer must commit to providing his/her true personal details, which allow the successful processing of your order.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERIES
ARTEFITA sends orders to Portugal, Spain, and several other countries.
The costs of the shipping service are at the user's expense and add to the total price of the products selected by the user.
In shipments to mainland Portugal and other countries you will be informed of these charges and prices before confirming your request and completing the purchase process. In the case of shipments to the Azores and Madeira archipelagos, the customer is guided through the store interface until a final order without payment. You will then receive an email from ARTEFITA Store with price proposal and shipping deadlines. If the customer accepts the proposal, the total payment of the order will be triggered and the normal process of sending will follow the agreed terms. If you ignore or refuse within 3 days the order will be cancelled.
Delivery costs depend on the volume and/or weight of the products and the type of delivery chosen. Products can be collected at ARTEFITA's premises, delivered directly to the delivery address indicated by the customer.

Depending on the country to which the order is shipped, additional charges (for example, import taxes) can be applied upon arrival. These charges are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in the price of sale and delivery orders.

Pick-up at the head-office of ARTEFITA - Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm.
Shipping by carrier: 09:00 to 18:00, from Monday to Friday.
Orders are processed up to 24 hours (working days) after payment confirmation, then applying (adding) the delivery time indicated during the purchase process (1 business day for collection in our facilities, 3 business days for Continental Portugal, to be defined case by case for Azores and Madeira, and 5 working days as reference for other countries).
Exceptions: "Custom safety belt for luggage" (48 hours) and the special case referred to below (Cargo / Protection Nets).
Marketing note: Regardless of the above commitment, our delivery history in Continental Portugal is 1 day (the day after payment when it is made until 2:00 p.m.).
Special situation: For cargo net products and their "discount kits" the delivery time is 5 working days for Continental Portugal and to be individually defined for each order due to be delivered in other locations.
DIFFICULTIES IN DELIVERING
If the customer is not at the address at the time of delivery, ARTEFITA, after being informed by the carrier, will make a contact to try to reschedule the delivery.
If the customer does not respond within 24 hours after ARTEFITA sends an email and / or attempts to call, the order will be available for 72 hours for the customer to collect it at our premises or otherwise instruct for a new delivery in which he must assume payment of new shipping costs.
After this period, the order will be cancelled without the right to return the amounts paid.
At the moment of delivery of the order, customer must check the condition of the packaging and the product in order to detect any damage, anomaly or defect caused by the transport process.
In case of nonconformity / defects, customer must refuse the order, ask the carrier to fill out a proper form (where he must mention in detail the reasons for refusal) and contact ARTEFITA within a maximum of 24 working hours.
Failure to comply with these procedures excludes the customer's right to invoke defects / nonconformities caused by transportation.
The articles sold on www.artefita.pt/store are subject to the legal guarantee regime, in accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law No. 84/2021, of 18 October.
Nonconforming product - You must contact ARTEFITA to obtain referral, having in your possession the invoice and the complete product.

PRICES AND PAYMENT METHODS
All prices shown in the store already include VAT at the current legal rate.

ATM reference number (Portugal only)
When confirming your order, you will receive an email with the ATM reference number for payment.
You have 48 hours to make your payment. This payment can be done in any ATM machine or through the internet using the home banking services of your bank (selecting “PAGAMENTO DE COMPRAS" or "PURCHASE PAYMENT" and, then, "SERVIÇOS" or "SERVICES").
PayPal and Credit Card linked to your PayPal account
When selecting this payment method you will be redirected to the PayPal page. You must have or create an account in order to use this service.
You have 48 hours to make your payment.
NOTE: When selecting PayPal, the previously chosen billing address will be ignored because only the address registered in your PayPal account can be used for billing purposes.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
In case your order shows any type of non-compliance with the characteristics presented and its condition, you can contact us through any means available in the Online Store or:

When making this contact, you must have with you the respective invoice and give us the following information:
· Order number
· Reference and the name of the product
· Nonconformity / defects details
· As appropriate or requested, a photograph of the problem detected
With the above data, the necessary evaluation will be made and, proving ARTEFITA responsibility, it will be given to customer the necessary instructions for the return and subsequent replacement (or return of the purchase value, if applicable).
Client can exercise the right of withdrawal without any compensation being demanded to him, within 14 (fourteen) days from the day on which he/she acquires the physical possession of the item.
To exercise this right, you must communicate your intention by email to email@example.com, indicating the order data, products you want to solve and client's identification.
The consumer must return the goods within 14 (fourteen) days from the date ARTEFITA was notified of the decision to terminate the contract. In this situation, the return of the goods is at the client's expense.
The products to be returned must be properly packaged and shipped to ARTEFITA under the same conditions in which they were sold, always at the client's expense.
Upon receipt of the return and checking of the nonconformity invoked, the customer will be refunded the value corresponding to the amount paid for the order (total value of the invoice) with shipping charges deduction.
If you have used a promotional discount code, this amount won't be refunded, ie the refund will be only for the amount actually paid.
The refund method for the returned amount depends on the payment method used in your order. In the case of payments made by ATM Reference and PayPal, these are credited in the respective accounts. In other cases, when the Bank Identification Number information is provided, the refund is made to the indicated bank account. Otherwise, the refund is made by cheque to the billing address. Reimbursement is made up to 14 days after receipt of a notice from ARTEFITA informing you the claim was accepted and you can send the item back.
In the absence of the verification of the nonconformity invoked, of any of the components of the item sold or if any of them presents any damage not attributable to ARTEFITA, as well as if the product manifests obvious signs of use after its delivery, there won't be any refund of the price and the product will be sent back to buyer.

Client can cancel his/her order requesting it to ARTEFITA, through the means of contact available here, within a maximum period of 24 hours after payment of the order.
For this cancellation, User must indicate the following data to ARTEFITA:
a) Order number
b) Tax Identification Number and/or the name used to make the order and delivery address
By ARTEFITA decision
ARTEFITA can refuse an order when any of the following situations occur:
• In the event of a computer error, manual, technical or any other origin, causing a substantial change not foreseen by ARTEFITA in the retail price, in such a way that it becomes exorbitant or manifestly derisory;
• If there is an inability to obtain payment authorization;
• If it turns out that these are fraudulent orders.
The ARTEFITA Online Store presents the information about the characteristics of the products through technical descriptions, photographs and/or videos that illustrate the marketed products.
The retail prices indicated on www.artefita.pt/store are shown in euros and include VAT at the legal rate in force.
The indicated prices can be changed at any time, with safeguard of the prices of the orders already processed.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT: HELP, SUGGESTIONS AND CLAIMING

These general conditions apply to all contracts that may be concluded under it and are governed by the Portuguese law.
